About me
I'm Henry. I'm passionate about helping people take their first steps — whether that's starting a business, learning AI, or just finding the courage to try something new.
I started my first business at university, built three adventure travel businesses, created one of the world's most loved marathons in Uganda, done everything from raising millions of pounds for charity through to winning BBC Eggheads and all sorts of fun nonsense in between. A safe pair of hands on stage, I've delivered a TEDx, and lectured & facilitated in rooms of 100s of students for 6 hours straight. Earlier I trained as an accountant with Deloitte, and still advise founders on personal finances. I've been Entrepreneur-in-Residence for several accelerators and incubators, I'm a lecturer in Business & Entrepreneurship and I build a startup programme for the UK government.
I believe the world doesn't need more gatekeepers or perfectionism. Most people don't lack knowledge or resources — they lack courage. Everyone's first step is ugly, and that's okay. My job is to help people see that they're capable of more than they think.
The change I want to see? More people taking action on their ideas instead of waiting for permission. More regular people accessing the tools and opportunities that used to be reserved for the privileged few. More ugly first steps leading to beautiful outcomes.
I've spent my career trying to live this, and I believe you can too. Let's go.
What I believe
Courage over knowledge
It's a deficit of courage, not knowledge, that holds most people back.
Every first step is ugly
All good big things started as small, ugly things. Don't let that stop you.
Communication wins
The world rewards those who communicate their ideas best.
Bias towards action
In taking action, you build your own momentum.
